Ocean Water

Challenge: Desalination is very costly, utilizes a significant amount of energy and has severe environmental impact with dirty wastewater.

Opportunity: AiVacua processed ocean water taken directly from the Atlantic through a single-stage continuous vacuum distillation system using no filter and little power.

Leachate

Challenge: Landfills are a huge source of leachate (tainted water) which is generated due to local and varying climatic conditions. It is estimated that landfills produce an average of 50,000 gallons of leachate PER day. This tainted water contaminates our groundwater, soil, pollutes the environment and has potential human health affects.

Opportunity: AiVacua processed leachate from a local landfill using a two-stage distillation process. The samples were tested using conductivity and spectrophotometer tests. Conductivity was radically reduced and the spectrophotometer test confirmed the removable contaminates.

Sustainable Operations

Challenge: Manufacturing plants are concerned with standardizing the input water used to create products as well as cleaning the output water that otherwise could not be released into the environment.

Opportunity: AiVacua removed chemical impurities from output water across several household products and produced clean water that could then be properly handled.
